Best Steak&Cheese that I've had in a very Looong time...the veggies were fresh and the cheese sat just right evenly throughout my sandwich...it,and the were awesome too

I was in the neighborhood about noon & decided to give them another chance. As before, the place looked dead from the outside. No car in the lot. No signs of life at all. The only difference was the "OPEN" sign in the window was lit up. At least the door was unlocked. There was a lone man sitting at the bar; he appeared not to be a patron. "Are you serving food?" I asked. He indicated he was, so I sat at the bar to peruse the menu.
I requested the "Big K Burger" and French Fries. Despite the text "HOMEMADE DESSERTS" on one window, there were no desserts on the menu, and I neglected to ask.
Perhaps 20 minutes later the same man came out of the kitchen with a clam shell. I paid the $7.70 and headed for home. French Fries first. ~meh~ Not bad, but I wouldn't order them again. They were slightly dusted with paprika, which helped.
On to the Big K Burger. Rather sloppy all over. The biggest selling point would be it's size. There was no indication in the menu (all it said was Big K Burger $5.95), so perhaps I should have asked. That was easily a third lb of ground beef, quite likely 1/2 lb. Not a bad burger, but that, too, I would not order again.
The store was pretty clean, except for a bunch of smeared fingerprints on the inner door. The menu is quite limited. The man working there, while not surly, was generally cold and aloof. As if he cared not one whit about my patronage. -

Been twice now. Early day/evening is slow on the inside. Night time is packed. Both times had an amazing experience! Bartenders during both visits super hospitable and friendly. Mostly played pool and drank for both visits. THEY HAVE JELLO SHOTS OMG lol - and they're delicious. Have tried Kee Kee's wings, fries, Mac n cheese, and chitlins. All delicious! Saw some other meals and the food is definitely home style southern cooking. A lot of take out order traffic both times, even when it was slow on the inside, so the regulars must know that Kee Kee's does not disappoint!
